Big Barrel Co. is a startup winery in Sonoma, California and will offer wine tasting, small bites and retail sales. The goal of this design is to create an open and inviting space that compliments a modern-industrial design while also connecting the user with the natural California elements. This will be achieved by using large windows and skylights to bring daylight and outdoor views into the space. A variety of natural and contrasting textures and materials such as natural woods and stones, and dark and light colors will be used throughout. The highlight areas of this winery will be the tasting room, gift shop/retail area, and the outdoor terrace. This space will also include restrooms, a barrel room/wine cellar for the fermentation process of the wine and a small laboratory.
